Alain Mikli bought by Luxottica!
Design powerhouse Alain Mikli has sold out to giant world dominating Luxottica for likely in the neighborhood of 90 million Euros! Alain Mikli has long been a successful independent eyewear designer and manufacturer in France. We have admired his frames for years, however, they were never for us at The Eye Bar. The designs seemed to be dated the last few years. Nothing really innovative or fresh. Maybe that will change. Of course its more likely that you might start seeing Alain Mikli everywhere. Its crazy to think one company, Luxottica, owns so many brands of eyewear. If you buy your frames from Pearle Vision, Lenscrafters, Target Optical, Sears Optical, Sunglasses Hut, iLori or Optical Shop of Aspen, they are all owned by Luxoittica! Did you know that Luxottica also owns a major eye insurance company? Yep, they own EyeMed too!
