The stainless line is available in both corrective lens glasses as well as in sunglasses and range from avant-garde to classically elegant.
Another innovation arrived to us from Mykita in 2006. This refers to the acetate collection. Acetate is a more classic style of design for spectacles, yet Mykita has introduced an innovative hinge which hugs the front and temples in a sheathe-like design. The lines of this style of spectacle are crisp, clean, and alluring.
The Mykita brand is a recognized name in the fashion industry. In 2010, Mykita launched a collaborative line with fashion designer Marios Shwab. The result of this powerhouse collaboration came to be known as industrial spectacles. The circular frame of these glasses are cut complete from sheets of stainless steel before being folded into shape, resulting in two model types known as Hamilton and Jane.
In 2009, collaboration between Bernhard Wilhem and Mykita was presented at TRANOI in Paris. This resulted in the design both men's (Franz, Alois, Sepp) and women's (Janis & Lucidus) Mykita collections.
Most recently, Mykita collaborated with avnt-garde designer, Romain Kremer. This resulted in two futuristic design models: Romain and Yuri. One pair was recently doned by Lady Gaga. Despite their international acclaim, it is of note that Mykita eyewear is still designed and manufactured in Berlin at Mykita Haus. The Eye Bar is the proudly exclusive seller of Mykita eyewear in the St. Louis area.
